The top and drawers of this antique English chest of drawers are inlaid with fruit wood within ebonized threads that highlight the chromatic contrast. In the lower band, below the drawers, this small period commode, of English origin, made around 1870, is decorated with valances, shaped bands placed between the elegant saber feet. The state of conservation is excellent, the sliding of the drawers has been overhauled, the minimal lacks of the plate have been restored and has been cleaned and finished with a natural shellac and wax polishing that enhances the chromatism of the essences.
